The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation has been helping Minnesota breast cancer patients by providing grants since 2001. The Foundation assists by providing non-medical needs to patients in active treatment. These include helping with Housing (rent/mortgage/hotel stay), Utility bills, Transportation (gas, vehicle repairs, Uber), Groceries, and Adult/Childcare needs. We want to keep patients in their home, with the lights and heat on, and make sure there's nutritious food in the fridge. We want to help with transportation and childcare so they can get the treatments they need. Since November 2001, Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation has been a source of help and hope for local breast cancer patients and their families. Getting cancer is scary. And expensive. Hope Chest fills an urgent, unmet need: Alleviating some of the financial burdens associated with breast cancer treatment.
