UPDATE - The Minnetonka Business Council Meeting - Meet Mayor Rebecca Schack has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts with City Day at the Capitol and the following day being the Chamber's Leadership Luncheon - Meet the Mayors/State of the Cities program.

We encourage you to join us for the Leadership Luncheon on Thursday, March 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Wayzata Country Club. Mayor Schack will be joined by Mayors Andy Mullin (Wayzata), Jeff Wosje (Plymouth), and Charlie Miner (Long Lake). It will be an excellent opportunity to hear from all four mayors.

The Wayzata West Metro Chamber is excited to invite you to participate in the Minnetonka Business Council. We are pleased to partner with the City of Minnetonka in offering this programming again in 2026. This program is for Minnetonka-based business professionals or business owners. If that is you, please join us! 

This month, attendees will get a chance to meet newly elected Mayor Rebecca Schack. Come hear more about her priorities for the City and share with her your ideas to support local businesses and other city-wide matters.

Mayor Schack was elected as mayor of Minnetonka in 2025. 

She was appointed to the Minnetonka City Council in July 2018, elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023. Prior to the city council, Rebecca served on the Minnetonka Planning Commission. 

Rebecca received her undergraduate degree in business from the University of St. Thomas and her juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law. Rebecca is a partner at Meier Schack, LLC where she practices in the area of family law.

Rebecca is the chair of the 494 Corridor Commission and sits on various advisory committees for the League of Minnesota Cities and Metro Cities. Rebecca is an active member of the Minnetonka Rotary and the Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations. Rebecca and her husband Michael have resided in Minnetonka since 2013.

The group meets quarterly with a focus topic for the program. There is no fee, and you do not need to be a Chamber member to attend. Purpose: To strengthen ties between Minnetonka-based business leaders and the City, to foster a thriving and prosperous business community now and in the future.
