EmpowHER Women's Network Luncheon - August

Tuesday, August 11, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

The Wayzata West Metro Chamber is excited to bring back the popular EmpowHER Women's Network series. The EmpowHER Women’s Network believes in the immense value that women bring to the Chamber and community.

Its purpose is to foster a supportive and empowering community where women engage in peer-led mentorship by providing a safe space, which allows women to feel heard and receive advice and feedback. The EmpowHER Women’s Network is dedicated to making a difference by cultivating an environment where women thrive, excel, and contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of our community and beyond.

This month's program will take a look at "Visibility" and what it means as we navigate our professional and personal worlds.

Value in Visibility – Be Seen, Be Heard, Be Ahead of the Game

You're working hard, delivering results, and making an impact. Yet the recognition, promotions, opportunities, and seat at the table don't seem to reflect your contributions. Sound familiar?

The issue often isn't your performance—it's your visibility.

Too many talented women believe that exceptional work will naturally be noticed. In reality, opportunities often go to those whose value is visible as well as valuable. Visibility isn't about self-promotion or changing who you are. It's about ensuring your expertise, leadership, and contributions are recognized by the people who matter.

In this session, you'll discover how to be more intentional about the way you show up, communicate your value, and position yourself for greater influence and career growth.

Together, we'll explore how to:

  1. Show up with confidence and intention.
  2. Ensure your work is seen by the right people.
  3. Communicate your impact without feeling like you're "bragging."
  4. Align your presence, projects, and personal brand with your career aspirations.
  5. Build visibility that leads to recognition, influence, and new opportunities.

When your visibility matches your value, you're more likely to be trusted with bigger opportunities, invited into important conversations, and positioned for long-term career success.

Special thanks to our faciliators, members; Dr. Janel Anderson from Working Conversations, LLC and Lisa Buck from Lisa Buck Photography for leading and facilitating this month's discussion.

A special thank you to our awesome EmpowHER Chair, member Nancy Fisher of the Good Life Revolution.
